Passports
Passports valid for at least six months following your visit, with at least two blank pages available for stamps, are required for all international travel. If you need to obtain or renew a passport, visit the Government of Canada’s website.
We recommend you make copies of your passport photo page, visas, credit cards, driver’s license and any prescriptions, and keep these separate from your originals in case of loss or theft.
Visas
For visa information, all guests including non-Canadian citizens and legal residents should seek advice from their respective embassy, consulate or Travel Agent to determine which documents are needed prior to departure. Tips for Canadian citizens regarding their destinations are below. Should you require a visa for your journey, please be aware that each country/embassy/consulate sets its own policies regarding their issue, so allow ample time for processing. Be sure to obtain and carefully review for accuracy all your required documents prior to departure to avoid delays, denied boarding/entry or additional cost.
Canadian Citizens:
Egypt
Canadian citizens will need a visa to enter Egypt, but you do not need to secure one before departure; our representatives will meet you before immigration at the Cairo airport and assist you in obtaining a Visa on Arrival, and escort you through immigration. The price is USD 25, payable in cash only. (Exception: If traveling to Egypt before Dec 1, 2024, Canadian citizens must obtain an Egypt visa prior to departure. Please contact the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate for further information.)
Non-Canadian citizens, please check with your consulate for visa information.
Jordan
Canadian citizens traveling on our Jordan – Petra. Dead Sea & Amman extension will need a visa to enter Jordan, but you do not need to secure one before departure; our Guest Services staff on board your ship in Egypt will collect your passport information and secure the visa for you free of charge.
Non-Canadian citizens, please check with your consulate for visa information.
